OH and I have a limited budget this year so I decided to put my papercrafting and sewing skills to use and as well as making all my cards decided to start by making some calenders for stocking fillers.
Shaun the sheep – this one is for my Mum who loves Shaun and has done since he was first seen in Wallace and Gromit. Thought it would be a bit of fun and it’s all made using freebies from the CB mag earlier this year. Loved making this and hope it makes her smile as much as it did me while I was making it.
LOTV – This is for my Niece who loves pink, purple and fairies. It was made using a LOTV image I received in a RAK, blueberry hill backing papers and some gems and 3d butterflies, all of which I had in my stash.
Forever Friends – This one is for a close friend who has been a rock to me and OH this year. The image and matching backing paper is from a prize I won earlier in the year and again the coordinating ribbons & gems are from my stash. This one has a slightly different layout to the others due to the size of the image, I didn’t want it to be any bigger than 6×6 but didn’t want it to looked cramped either.
Floral – This one is for my Nan becuase her fav flowers are daisies and I adore this image, very her (I hope lol). The image was from I rak I received earlier in the year but didn’t use as I was waiting to use it on something special cause I liked it so much. I have teamed it with more blueberry hill papers, 3d butterflies, gems and flowers, again all items I already had in my stash.
The only things I bought specially for these are the calenders I have attached but they only cost me 99p for 10!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Determined to write and update my blog more this year and make it more personal and not so much just a plain log of makes. So before I begin thought I would share the last of 2010’s makes before I embark on a new year.
OH and I had our 5th Wedding anniversary on the 24th December so thought I would share the cards we made each other. Mine to him is the fishing card as he loves his fishing in a big way and I adored this Lily of the Valley image as soon as I saw it and this was at last the perfect opportunity to use it.

Sams best mate has just move into his first house after house sharing so made him a card last night. Dog image came free ages ago and I adored it so glad to fina reason to use it. Everything else I had in my stash also.

The christmas tree card is for friends of ours. The paper is from a papermania stack that I have used loads, they are all fab. Pic is not great due to the lighting so don’t see the colours at their best.
The snow scene card is for OH. Fell in love with this image and sentiment (reminds me of us and our little dog and really made me smile) and again this is matched with some paper from the above mentioned stack.. Again I kept both really simple due to the detailed images used.
The Robin easel type one is for OH’s mum as she loves robins as does OH and I and I love this image, the papers are from the papermania Penelope & Percy A5 pack, gems and sentiment from my stash.
The other easel type one with the two bears on is for BIL and his partner. For this one I used some more from the papermania pack (as above) and the bottom paper came in a RAK from Barbara, again gems and sentiment from my stash. I love making these shape cards with dominent images like these.
The pink card is for my 4year old neice and is again using the same papermania paper pack, teamed with a die cut oval from a rak, a jolly nation decoupage , ribbon and sentiment from my stash.
The Robin with candy card is for my Mum and step dad. Tartan paper and ribbon from my stash, the decoupage is from the christmas patchwork kingdom range and the die cut oval from a rak a while ago.
