I sat down to make some cards and suddently decided I didn’t have many male cards to sell this at the coffee morning I was going to so decided to try and make a few and this is the reuslt:
I used some Jolly Nation cigarrette tpye cards, my favourite sketch, some butons from my MOTM prize (on CB forum) and papers and other bits from my stash and had great fun. OH was sat on the computer which is next to my craft desk and kindly gave advice when asked as I couldn’t make my mind up with some colour/background options.
I made these cards weeks ago now but just realised I haven’t posted them on here.
The card is Kanbans Oriental dragon (green one) and Oriental Blossom (pink one) with matching trim, the fish are some peel offs that I adore and have in my stash which I have layered onto some sheets OH got me aaages ago, they are peelable (so can cut your own stickers etc). I used a red glitter effet on that has the effect of scales almost. Reminded me of the effect of a Koi’s scales when they catch the light and shimmer
I have purposely kept them simple so the glitter backing on the fish stand out..
Like how they turned out, something a little different.
At last I have managed to slowly get back into my crafting. Bit off and on due to aches and pains still but at least I am back crafting!
I had a big rumage through my stash the other day and did huge lot of sorting out and whilst doing so found some items that I really wanted to use.
Here are some:
Bookmarks using some flower fairy chipboards I got in a rak off a member of the CB forum
A flower fairy card to match one of the bookmarks and using some vellum I fell in love with when I saw it,
Some simple flower decoupage cards, I loved these images and you can’t see great but te daffodil one has gems in the centre of the flowers to add a little shine.
And a cutie card using an image of a mini calendar I have hung above my desk (this was July’s)

Just when I thought I would be on here more and crafting more I go and do a really silly thing and fall down the stairs! Very big ouch! Isucceeded in very badly winding myself and badly bruising my cocyx, not to mention carpet burns and bruises on both arms. Still can’t sit down properly or for long periods due to the bruising . Then to top it off in the early hours of 09.08 I was taken in to hospital with severe muscle spasms in my chest and back and still getting pain in my back so this put pay to any crafting. Arrrgh! So frustrating! Fingers crossed this is the last of the bad luck for me this year and I can get on with some much needed crafting, I’m getting some serious withdrawel symptoms lol.
It was my mum and stepdads wedding anniversary the other day and they love walking and birdwatching together and I had a choice of a kingfisher decoupage or a dufex decoupage of 2 doves. Love them both so made the dufex doves for Mum and stepdad as seemed appropriate for an anniversary and teamed it with some mirri board and some Henbury lane paper and a 3d butterfly. Inside I have used an insert with a verse off the internet and a matching butterfly to add a little extra.
The kingfisher main image (will use rest of decoupage on anothrer card) was layered on green and then blue card and mounted onto an A5 green card blank and an additional strip from the sheet used accross the bottom with another strip used inside for interest. This is for BIL’s birthday. OH helped with this one and wanted something that wasn’t too fussy. Think I managed that for him.
thanks for looking
